Incomplete/Inaccurate Forms = Deficiency

Image of K-51 filled out to show a deficiency

As you look at the annual inspection form, note whether all the information has been accurately reported, whether the report is complete, and whether it contains all the information required by the NFPA 72. Naturally if the report does not list devices that you have seen while inspecting the facility, you should have these devices tested more closely. (These include devices such as smoke dampers, shutdown relays for the HVAC systems, or electronic-locking devices noted while testing the fire alarm system.) Incomplete or inaccurate inspection report forms are considered a deficient practice, and a deficiency should be noted.
