Receiving a certificate

Certificates are only received when all the requirements for course completion have been met. This usually requires that a posttest and/or course evaluation has been completed. If all of the conditions have been met, the posttest summary page or the course evaluation page will provide a link to view the certificate. Not all courses on the Surveyor Training website provide a certificate.

Printing a certificate

Your certificate will be displayed as a PDF document. You will need a PDF viewer application, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, in order to view your certificate. You should use your installed PDF viewer to print out your certificate.

Viewing course completions

All of your course completions will be listed on the "My Courses" page. If you just wish to view only your completed courses, you can click the "Complete" link under "Filter By: Status" in the filter box on the left. This will change the listing in your "My Courses" list so that it only displays completed courses. All completed courses will display a status of “Completed,” the date the class was completed, the status of transferring the record to ELMS, and a link to view the certificate if a certificate is available for that course.

Record transfer to ELMS

Course completion records are transferred to ELMS every night from Sunday to Thursday. Some courses on the Surveyor Training website are for informational purposes only and will not transfer to ELMS. These completions will be indicated in the transfer status.

If there is an issue transferring your completion records to ELMS, you will be sent an email explaining the error. The most common reason for transfer issues is caused by mismatches of Federal Surveyor Id number between Surveyor Training and ELMS. If you receive a transfer error email, you should:
